Review of Hunter Specialty Johnny Stewart Predator Call

Anyone on a tight budget that enjoys predator hunting as much as I do will appreciate this call.  For just $29.99 this call packs quite a wallop!  Plus it's WIRELESS!! That's the part I was looking at when I bought mine!  I mean come on a WIRELESS caller at that price???  I have called in coyotes, bobcats, coons and possums with this call believe me or not IT WORKS!!! If you don't want to take my word for it read the reviews on the bottom of  this page.  The wireless transmitter works effectively out to about 50 yrds, which really helps to disguise any movement you make. It has a remote that is easy to work, it has five calls Desperate Cottontail, Coy/wolf Bark/Howls, Coyote Pup Distress, Fawn Bleating and Vittles A'la Jackrabbit and a stop call button.  With my call I have called up cats within minutes of setting up, sitting down, and starting to call.  We have thick underbrush here in Missouri so even if it had more range I wouldn't need it because I LOVE to get the game close that way I don't
end up with a wounded animal on my hands.  It helps also to have some kind of decoy
for the animal to focus on. You can find several on my decoy page or on the amazon
site here
I've read stories of people using stuffed animals, live animals, but personally I use a hide that I have tanned from a domestic rabbit.  White preferably that way it's more visible, and to add movement I use a spool of fishing line tied to the limb I drape the hide over.
If you don't like the sounds on the first caller, they have another caller mod PT-1 (shown on left at top) Basically same as first caller in this review, but with different sounds that are: Baby Bird - Cotton Tail - Puppy Cries - Rodent - Woodpecker.  This is actually the one I wanted when I bought it at a famous name brand store, but they were out of them so I took the other.  I spent allot more on mine at the time(Amazon done it to me again!)  Wish I'd have known about Amazon years ago, I'd have twice as much hunting gear! :D  Well, now it softens the blow when I tell my wife about all the new "Toys" that I want.  "At least it's more inexpensive honey!!"
